John Roshka/Rosca Ion is a professional photographer based in Chisinau, Moldova. At the moment
he works as photojournalist for Center for Independent Journalism - www.azi.md

His photography documents moments through subject and composition. Most of his work represent images of Moldova, its people, landscapes, social issues and political evolution. He also documents countries he visits trying to discover their identity using his camera and vision.

- 1st Prize for Originality at the photo contest "Show us your country" organized by Asociatia INDECO Iasi in collaboration with Moldovan NGOs, 2009

- Scholarship to attend Foundry Photojournalism Workshop that took place in Istanbul, Turkey, 2010. FoundryPhotoWorkshop
